Renting a Phone While Yours Is Being Repaired or for a Visiting Guest

When your phone breaks or goes in for repair, daily life suddenly gets harder: banking apps, work messages, navigation... Renting a phone instead of buying a new one for a few days is a practical way to fill the gap.

When does renting a phone make sense?

• Your phone is being repaired or under warranty: use it with your own SIM card in the meantime.
• A guest visiting Turkey for a short time: a phone to use with a local SIM for family or friends from abroad.
• Trying a new model before buying: use the latest iPhone or Samsung for a few days and then decide.
• An event or shoot: a second phone with a better camera for a wedding, a holiday or content creation.

Rental phone prices (November 2026)

On Kiraala's mobile phone listings, the daily price as of November 2026 is between ₺300 and ₺2,500; half of the listings are ₺550 a day or less. The price depends on the model: the latest iPhone Pro models are at the top of the range.

Phone listings usually have a minimum of a few days; it's shown on each listing. Rentals of 7 days or more use the weekly price per day and 30 days or more the monthly price per day, which is lower on most listings. For a long repair, renting by the week can work out better.

What to check when renting

• Box contents: are a charger and case included? It's in the listing description.
• Your own SIM card: phones are rented to be used with your own SIM card.
• When you collect it, check the phone has been reset and the screen and camera work. If there's a problem, report it in the app within 12 hours.
• If there's a deposit, it is only held on a credit card; with a debit card it is charged and released within 3 business days after a problem-free return.

Erase your data before returning

Before returning the phone, sign out of your accounts (Apple ID or Google account, banking and messaging apps), back up your photos and reset the phone to factory settings. On an iPhone, remember to turn off "Find My"; if it stays on, the next user can't set up the phone.

What else can you rent?

Along with a phone you can rent a tablet, a computer or a smartwatch. If your computer is also in for repair, renting both for the same period makes things easier.
